Dog's Best Friend was established in 2008 with the mission to help make life easier for dogs and their families in central Ohio. Dog's Best Friend believes in providing the highest quality training and pet care, and we are regularly expanding our credentials and knowledge to ensure we can offer the latest and greatest services. We are a registered LLC with the State of Ohio, bonded and insured, and are Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR certified.
Reid Reynolds was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Dublin, Ohio in high school. After high school, he went to Ohio University - where he met his future wife, Cathy, and earned a bachelors in human psychology. After college, Dog's Best Friend started, and shortly after Reid decided to attend National K-9 School for Dog trainers, where he completed the Master Trainers program. Reid firmly believes in continuing his education by attending workshops and seminars whenever possible, so far he has attended workshops which have been taught by world renowned trainers Cesar Millan, Brian Agnew, Cheri Lucas, Scott Mueller, Robin MacFarlane, George Cockrell, and Heather Beck. Reid is a good standing Professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), a member of National K-9 Dog Trainers Association, and certified in Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR.
Cathy Reynolds is a central Ohio native and life-long animal lover. She attended Ohio University's Scripps School of Journalism and has a degree in public relations. While in high school she participated in The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium's Zoo School program and then worked as a seasonal employee during her four years of college. Cathy is certified in Syn Alia Training System's Perception Modification, a member of IACP, and is certified in Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR.
We have lots of four-legged friends in our pack: Apollo (a chihuahua/pom mix who is also the dog featured on our logo), Penny (a lab/hound mix), Taco (a short haired chihuahua), Hank (our big newfie), and three cats: Ace, Peggy, and Kitty.
